The Commonwealth Regional Council (CRC) was awarded $15,000,000.00 in grant funds from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for the expansion of broadband in Cumberland, Lunenburg, and Prince Edward Counties. The CRC is partnering with the internet services provider, Planet Networks (previously known as Kinex Telecom) to complete this expansion. The project is expected to be completed by June 2027.
